Chef Lorrie Ann Buckley

Lorrie Ann was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. Her passion for feeding people began as a young girl. After school, she could always be found in the kitchen of her Sicilian born grandmother, Maria. Grandma always had something good cooking on the stove with great conversation to accompany it.

Lorrie Ann realized early the expression of love that food can bring to others. Throughout her adolescence she would watch her single mom Josephine, feed neighbors, family members, friends and on many occasions, their entire church.

Italian food, of course, is what Lorrie Ann learned well, with her lasagna dish drawing the highest acclaim! She wanted to learn more than peasant style cooking so she expanded into more elaborate dishes. Many dishes were learned as she would watch Julia Child and Sara Moulton on television in the 1980's, never dreaming that her own television debut would be in 2003.

After volunteering, entertaining and feeding family and friends for two decades, her husband Brian gave her the best birthday gift ever as she enrolled in culinary school at the Le Cordon Bleu in Orlando, FL. Lorrie Ann graduated Cum Laude in 2008 with her Associates Degree. She completed her externship in the kitchens of the J.W. Marriot focusing on the commercial side of the business. The Marriot then hired her as a chef concentrating on food preparation for banquet parties of 50 to 1000 people. 

In October 2009, she branched out and started Taste and See Catering. Her company's focus is food preparation for parties including weddings, baby showers, corporate lunches, holiday events and personal cooking classes. The extent and depth of Chef Lorrie Ann's attention to detail and commitment to excellence has lent itself to having her own facility on Sand Lake Road in Orlando, FL.

Lorrie Ann's proudest moments will always be as a mother to her son David and wife to her husband Brian.
